The Department of Pharmaceutical Biotechnology is an interdisciplinary department covering a wide range of activities including genomics and proteomics, especially biotechnology, medical biotechnology, pharmaceutical biotechnology enzyme and microbial biotechnology, plant biotechnology, animal biotechnology. Recent studies in the field of Pharmaceutical Biotechnology; determination of disease agents at protein and gene level, production of diagnostic molecules, development of recombinant antibody and peptide structures, pharmaceutical biotechnology based biological medicinal products (protein-shaped drugs produced by recombinant DNA technology, monoclonal antibodies, biosimilar drugs), immunopharmaceuticals (vaccines), treatment of diseases. production of biopolymer microspheres, production and characterization of human primary and adult stem cells, development of cellular technologies and vaccine technology for protection and treatment, production of stem cell drugs, DNA carrier nanomaterials and biopolymers, development of drug carrier systems and tissue engineering.
